Bridge of Luxury

Once an Arunachali engineer goes to Delhi and one of his old college friends, who is working there as an engineer, invites him for a dinner. When the Arunachali minister arrive at the latter’s residence, he is astonished to see that his friend is living in a very grand and luxurious bungalow and they have dinner in silver spoons and plates and all his bungalow are filled with precious antiques and other articles. He cannot hold himself back and asks the friend how he is able to manage such grand living style. His friend takes him to a window.

Delhi Engineer: Do you see that road?

Arunachali Engineer: Yes.

Delhi Engineer: Do you see the flyover there ?

Arunachali Engineer: Yes.

Delhi Engineer : 10%.

On his way back, the Arunacali engineer stops by in Guwahati and another college friend, who also works as an engineer there, invites him for lunch. His style of living is even more luxurious.

Arunachali Engineer: How do you manage such luxurious life?

Guwahati Friend: Do you see that lawn?

Arunachali Engineer: Yes.

Guwahati Friend: Do you see the building behind that?

Arunachali Minister: Yes.

Guwahati Friend: 50%

After returning home, the Arunachali engineer invites both his college friends to Itanagar. When the friends arrive at the Arunachali engineer’s residence, they are stunned to see that the latter is living in a palace like house and they have dinner in golden spoons and plates and he has hundreds of servants and all his bungalow are filled of jewelries and costliest furniture, antiques and other articles.

Delhi & Guwahati Engineer: Dear friend, how could you afford to live such a grand style?

The Arunachali engineer takes them to a window.

Arunachali engineer: Do you see the river over there ?

Delhi & Guwahati Engineer: Yes.

Arunachali engineer: Do you see the bridge over it ?

Delhi & Guwahati Engineer: No.

Arunachali engineer : 100 %.

This is just a joke. Joke with a message, though. This blog will be devoted to such messages. Join me in exploring the system that we have inherited. Is there a way out of this whirlpool?
